  • When was your company founded?

There were years of massive preparation and planning.  Legally, we were founded in 2009.  And we opened our doors for business Oct 30, 2010

  • Tell your founding story: How and why did you create your company?

Our two boys were my inspiration for wanting to provide an affordable attraction in which Arkansans would take pride, and doubly support healthy living.  High adventure recreation – something we human beings crave – challenges our minds, our bodies, our emotions, and leaves us feeling better about ourselves and others.  As a mother, I envisioned Loco Ropes to be an opportunity to develop active lifestyles, provide a unique family adventure, and an educational tour of our forest tree tops. I welcome all to Loco Ropes for what is an unforgettable journey with Tarzan swings, zip lines, suspended bridges, smiles, laughter, and time spent with family and friends.

  • What is the background of key people involved?

Bob Cox comes to Loco Ropes with decades of experience building leaders and relationships with non-profit and for-profit organizations.  Bob is a lifelong student.  His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.   Bob’s continuing education includes many seminars, conferences, workshops, etc., including PCM (Process Communication Model) Core and Advanced training.  His informal education involves living life with an outlook for opportunities to learn and grow.

Being an Army Brat, Bob went to five different elementary schools, so he knows what it’s like to be the “new kid on the block.”  Being married to his bride of 30+ years and a father of two sons, he appreciates what it means to commit to a relationship – through thick and thin.  Managing ten years a multi-million dollar retail business, while also overseeing another location and serving as a corporate buyer, he understands the importance of the bottom line.  Serving fifteen years in church ministry, Bob values people and the unique talent, skill, and experience each person brings to the table.
